What makes Sewave exceptional?

Seawave conquers waves easily

SEAWAVE is one of the few inflatable kayaks with a significant longitudinal hull curve. This is a key element that allows the kayak to conquer waves without just hitting them. It smoothly follows the rising or falling line of the wave without losing speed.

SEAWAVE has a bow shaped to easily pass over waves that would swamp other touring kayaks. It achieves this with a significant rocker length of 40 cm and a bow that is 5 to 10 cm higher than most inflatable kayaks.

The characteristic shape of the bow is created by three internal bulkheads, hand-glued into the ends of the side cylinders in a fan shape.

Safely lands ashore even in waves

A classic inflatable bottom with a distinct keel and side cylinders are essential for safe landings ashore and in surf. The flat bottom of a typical kayak (typically all-dropstitch boats with a wide bottom and vertical sides) tends to "stick" to the wave and flip over as soon as the wave passes. The narrower hull of the SEAWAVE kayak (where the middle cylinder of the bottom significantly protrudes and forms a keel) and rounded side cylinders allow paddlers to lean against the wave, preventing it from capsizing.

Keeps the paddler dry

The reinforcements of the cockpit opening rim are strong and wide enough, making them compatible with most standard "Key-Hole / Big-decks" type spray skirts.

By using spray skirts, the boat is completely sealed.
