Boat Repairs

This does not apply to manufacturing defects of the boat - see the Warrancy Policy & Terms and Conditions . To successfully process your repair request, please follow the following information:

• At the GUMOTEX Coating, s.r.o. repair facility

Repair request procedure

1. Fill out and print the Repair Record Form

In the Repair Record Form, provide all required information, including a description of the boat damage and your contact details.

If you have a maximum repair cost request, please indicate it in the DESCRIPTION OF REPAIR field in the Repair Record Form.

If you wish to pick up the boat in person, please indicate this in the DESCRIPTION OF REPAIR field as well. Otherwise, the repaired boat will be shipped via the WEDO courier service. Shipping costs amount to CZK 170, including VAT. The shipping price may vary depending on the weight and dimensions of the repaired boat. You may also attach a photo of the damaged boat.

2. Send the ship to the following address

Attach the printed Repair Record Form or a cover letter to the boat, including your full address, phone number, email address, the type of boat to be repaired, a brief description of the defect, and the boat’s registration number (stamped on the black strip on the top side of the side tube at the rear of the boat – format e.g., CZ-GTXW4555F909).

In the case of personal delivery of the boat for repair, the collection point for repairs is the company's GUMOTEX store.

From this point, the repair process is handled by the staff of GUMOTEX Coating, s.r.o., who will register your repair request, inspect the boat, and inform you if the repair cost exceeds your specified maximum amount (if you indicated one in the Repair Record Form).

3. After the boat repair

You will be contacted by our staff with information on when your repaired boat will be shipped to you.

The boat will be delivered via the WEDO courier service, and payment for the repair and return shipping will be collected cash on delivery. (If you pick up the repaired boat in person at the company, payment can be made in cash or by card.)

The date for in-person pickup must be arranged in advance.

The warranty period for a post-warranty repair is up to 6 months from the date of repair, covering only the repaired defect.

Important

Boats that are not submitted for repair according to the instructions above or are not accompanied by the required information will be returned to the customer without repair, at the customer’s expense.

Goods submitted for repair must be properly cleaned. Otherwise, they will be returned at the customer’s expense, or the cleaning cost will be charged to the customer.

The GUMOTEX boat repair center is not obliged to accept for repair any goods that are not submitted with all required documentation or are dirty.

Warning 

We would like to inform boat users that before first use, it is necessary to carefully read the User Manual and follow the instructions provided. In particular, the boat must not be left unattended in the sun, and the pressure in the tubes must be monitored (GUMOTEX Coating, s.r.o. offers a pressure gauge for this purpose).

If the tubes of the boat rupture due to failure to follow these instructions, the boat cannot be claimed under warranty!
